You Will Need
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 – Prepare the Bacon
Heat up your grill (broiler), to medium-high heat.
Cut off the rind from your bacon and arrange bacon on a lined baking tray so that the rashers are not touching too much.
Step 2 – Grill Your Bacon
Grill until golden and crisp on both sides, and drain the bacon fat into a heatproof container when you turn the bacon around as we are going to use it in our dressing.
Allow the bacon to cool then crumble it into bacon bits, it won’t crumble properly if it is still warm.
Step 3 – Blitz Your Dressing
Add half a cup of the crumbled bacon to a high-speed blender or small food processor.
Then add the remaining dressing ingredients, season and blitz well to combine.
Taste and adjust seasonings according to your liking

Tips and Questions
Can I Use Pre-Cooked Bacon Bits Instead of Frying Bacon?
- Yes, pre-cooked bacon bits are a convenient alternative, but keep in mind that your dressing won’t be as tasty.
- You will need approximately one cup and use either an extra virgin olive oil or an avocado oil instead of the bacon fat.
What Herbs Can I Add for Extra Flavour?
Chopped chives, parsley, or dill work well with creamy bacon dressing. Add them just before serving for a burst of freshness.
How Much Does It Make?
This recipe makes just under one cup of dressing (approximately 12 tablespoons) which should be enough dressing for one large salad that serves 6-8 people.
How Long Can I Store It For?
This salad should be stored in a glass container with a tight fitting lid and kept in a cold part of your refrigerator (not on the door). It should last for approximately 5 days or so

This is delicious. It is not too sweet, like many bacon dressings. I heat this a bit and serve it over everything. I do not add salt as the bacon tends to be salty enough, but taste it and adjust to your liking.
Years ago a restaurant in Canada called Moxies had a warm bacon dressing that I loved and this is the closest to it that I have found.
I cut my bacon into bite-sizes pieces first and fry in a pan.
