This sweet, yet slightly tart passion fruit dressing compliments many different combos of greens served with a side of grilled meats. This dressing is sure to brighten any salad.

You Will Need

Labelled ingredients needed to make passion fruit dressing.
Make it Creamy - if you would prefer a creamier dressing then why not add a ¼ cup of coconut yoghurt. 

How to Make It

  1. Wash and cut your lime leaves into a chiffonade.
  2. Put all your dressing ingredients in a glass jar, season with salt and pepper then shake until emulsified.
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings according to your taste, you may need to add a dash of sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup if your passionfruit’s are too tart.

What Can I Use It On?

  1. Drizzle the dressing over a fresh salads with spinach or mixed green, chicken or prawn/shrimp salads.
  2. Use the dressing as a marinade for grilled fish or shrimp to infuse your seafood dishes with a zesty kick.
  3. Spoon it over grilled chicken or pan-fried fish.
  4. Create a vibrant fruit salad by tossing together your favourite fruits and generously coating them with passion fruit dressing.
  5. Use the dressing as a topping for vanilla ice cream or a fruity sorbet for a dessert that's both sweet and tangy.

Common Questions

Can I Use Canned or Frozen Passion Fruit?

It is absolutely fine to use either to make up this dressing just make sure that you defrost the frozen passion fruit first ? and that your pulp makes up a quarter of a cup .

Adjust According to Your Passionfruit

  • Depending on how tart or sweet your passionfruit is you may need to adjust your addressing.
  • Add some honey if it is too tart and some more lime juice if it is too sweet.

How Long Can I Store Passion Fruit Dressing For?

  • Store the dressing in a tight jar with a lid so that it’s easy to shake when you need to mix it up before serving.
  • The dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Equipment
  • Glass jar or sealed container.
Ingredients
  • 4 ripe passion fruit (to make up ¼ cup pulp)
  • ¼ cup avocado oil
  • 3 tbsps lime juice
  • 2 Kaffir lime leaves (optional but adds so much flavour)
Instructions
  • Wash and cut your Kaffir lime leaves into a chiffonade.
  • Put all your dressing ingredients in a glass jar, season with salt and pepper then shake until emulsified (well combined).
  • Taste and adjust seasonings according to your taste, you may need to add a dash of a sweetener such as honey or maple syrup if your passion fruits are too tart.
